Why Put Yourself in a Box?

Never accept the idea that there’s a limit to how far you can go. It’s your responsibility to shatter this type of thinking, explore the realm of the untested, and discover breakthrough opportunities. Independent scholar and futurist Joel Barker, known around the world as the “Paradigm Man” for popularizing the concept of paradigm shifts, once said, “Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.”

The key is to commit yourself to excellence in everything you do. There’s a famous saying that is on a picture I bought from Successories: “Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.”

Excellence means to consistently excel, to seek constant improvement. Only then are we living a life in which we can achieve all-star status. So let me ask you a question. Are you constantly increasing the quality of your performance, the level of your dedication?

Are you doing it once in awhile or are you doing it constantly, consistently? Are you going the extra mile to achieve excellence? Because the fact is that you are either climbing or you are sliding. There are no in-betweens, there are no plateaus.
